Durante i weekend sono aperti molti negozi del centro e i negozi nelle stazioni mentre nei quartieri viene di norma rispettato l’orari di chiusura standard.

Se avete bisogno di un bene di prima necessità come dentifricio, spazzolino o assorbente nei weekend o in orari serali ricordatevi che in Italia ci sono le farmacie di turno aperte (si vedono dalla croce verde lampeggiante) e alcune catene di supermercati  sono aperte h24 (Carrefour, Esselunga).

Allora i milanesi cenano dalle 20.00 ma i ristoranti sono aperti dalle 19.00 in centro, se avete scelto un ristorante particolare nei weekend organizzatevi e prenotarlo perché negli ultimi anni le abitudini sono cambiate e gruppi di amici e famiglie si organizzano per vedersi per una cena o un aperitivo e quindi sabato sera o domenica a pranzo potreste avere problemi a trovare un tavolo. La cucina è aperta fino alle 22 di solito e i ristoranti sono aperti fino alle 23.00. Il discorso è diverso per i cocktail bar o i luoghi aperti per un dopo cena.
